In October 2007 our church launched a new Wednesday evening program for kids.  The new program is called WOW! (The Word On Wednesdays).  It is designed for children ages 3 - 12, and is held every Wednesday evening from 6:30 - 7:30 P.M. during the school year.  This program was developed to teach children stories and themes of the Bible through various learning strategies.  The children rotate through stations each week which focus on the same Bible story or theme throughout the course of the unit.  The theory behind this type of program is that all children learn differently.  Therefore, when they can experience a lesson through various learning activities and learning styles, they will gain more and internalize the basic concepts.  The components of the program include Art, Computer, Creative Cookery, Games, Music and Movement, Science, Storytelling, and Videos.
